Lori is passionate about creating spaces that inspire learning, foster connection and positively impact communities. She has focused her career on community-centered projects, specializing in education and library design.
She is a leader in FGMA’s Higher Ed practice, designing spaces that support every student’s unique needs, helping them feel connected and empowered to thrive. Lori also serves as FGMA’s library subject matter expert; her love for libraries stems from a belief in lifelong learning and the importance of providing inclusive spaces that serve everyone in the community.
Lori approaches each project with deep curiosity, prioritizing listening and understanding. She’s driven by the challenge of creating spaces that reflect the character and values of those who use them, believing that great design starts with empathy. One of her most meaningful experiences was designing a children’s library, where inspiration sparked while reading to her daughter — a moment that came full circle when they read that same book together in the newly opened space.
With a Master’s degree focused on sustainability, Lori blends environmental responsibility with thoughtful design. She has helped shape dynamic learning environments that foster student success and created adaptable, inclusive library spaces — both designed to support the evolving needs of their communities and enrich the lives of those who use them.
Outside of work, Lori enjoys renovating her family home with her husband, exploring local trails and spending time with her two kids. Nature often fuels her creativity, providing inspiration that she brings into her projects.
