John’s approachable demeanor puts clients and employees at ease, creating an environment of trust and open communication. His ability to listen and connect helps clients feel confident that their vision will be brought to life, while employees feel supported to do their best work.
With a keen ability to understand the broader goals of our clients, John helps them align their vision with design solutions that address both immediate needs and future aspirations. He focuses on meeting the evolving needs of our clients through collaboration and continuous exploration. Driven by the belief that architecture should reflect the values of the people it serves, John ensures that every design responds to real needs, solves real challenges and ultimately strengthens the social fabric of the community.
Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his wife, Monica (also an architect), their two kids, Jake and Rachel, and their German Shepherds, Gyda and Thyri. A lifelong soccer fan, thanks to watching his kids play, he also enjoys nature, long-distance cycling, photography, music, building computers, reading and traveling.
