Charlie Kearns
Principal
As a Principal in FGMA’s Municipal practice, Charlie focuses on building client relationships and guiding projects from initial ideas to completed facilities. With a deep understanding of capital projects — from early bond preparation to construction management — he works alongside his clients at every stage, offering guidance and straightforward advice. His practical approach and clear communication help clients confidently navigate large, complex projects.
Charlie lives by a simple philosophy: Do good work, treat people with respect and follow through on your promises. “If you stick to that, good things will come,” he said — a belief that has brought him professional success and lifelong friendships. For him, the most rewarding part of his role is watching a project evolve from a simple idea to a finished space that makes a real difference in the community.
Known for his genuine positivity and approachable nature, Charlie easily connects with people, taking the time to build meaningful relationships and understand each client’s mission and goals. His honesty, commitment and passion foster connections that often extend beyond the project.
When he’s not helping clients bring their visions to life, Charlie is often up in the air — literally. A hands-on creator and avid outdoorsman, he’s built three airplanes (with a fourth in progress) and finds flying the perfect way to clear his head and recharge. An Eagle Scout, Charlie also enjoys spending time on his 40-acre property in South Central Colorado with his wife, Donna, where he tackles DIY projects or simply soaks in the beauty of nature.
