Transforming an abandoned property into a thriving public resource, the new school reflects its community and history. Inspired by the native Cahokia practice of basket weaving and the joining together of three separate cities, the school's layout visualizes past, present and future in its design.
“This is not just about the building. It’s bigger than that. It’s about creating a place where young minds will thrive. Creating a place where dreams will be nurtured. And where our community ... will grow stronger together.”
