FGM excels at meeting the diverse requirements and evolving standards set forth by the many different agencies that comprise our federal design practice.

In an era of challenging federal budgets, FGM brings creativity and cost-efficiency to our federal clients through our outstanding design solutions and integrates our knowledge of potential grants for energy efficient buildings. Our goal on every project is to create facilities with optimum lifecycle and sustainment costs.

People

Our design approach is centered on commitment, understanding and collaboration that results in satisfied clients, loyal contractor relationships, and trusted sub-consultants. When asked what FGM’s strengths are, a repeat federal client replied, “FGM has complete command and competence of multi-discipline design/design coordination throughout the project. They are excellent team players.”

We are actively involved with many federal professional organizations, providing leadership support and professional development for:

  • Society of American Military Engineers (SAME)
  • United States Green Building Council (USGBC)
  • Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA)
  • Construction Owners Association of America (COAA)

Partners

FGM strives to involve as many stakeholders and users of the facility as desired to create facilities that meet mission needs while providing innovative design solutions. As a repeat federal client recently observed, “From the very start, the FGM design team saw the soldiers and agency staff as a part of the project family team.” We view these relationships with agencies and installations as a critical component of our success.

We are actively involved with the contractor when involved with the design-build delivery method from the onset of the project through its closeout. We also frequently utilize our long-standing partnerships with small and disadvantaged businesses of all types, and we welcome the opportunity to serve as a mentor to small businesses that seek to grow their federal design and/or construction expertise.

Process

We understand that the design process is different for each agency and that it varies between preferred delivery methods. This is why we have built a versatile, responsive and flexible design approach to our federal projects. FGM is focused on delivering excellent client service through and integrated teamwork. We bring a structured and comprehensive process to our projects that strictly adhere to our clients’ schedules and budget while delivering innovative and cost-effective design solutions.
